Tuesday, Dec. 11, teens, young children and adults came to the Los Gatos Library to enjoy the music of Benjamin Winter, drink coffee donated by the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company, and eat treats of all sorts and sizes. Sponsored by the Friends of the Los Gatos Library, this event transformed the library into a melodic space for all generations. Benjamin played songs from his last two albums (Amber Alley and After and The Doctor and The Dancer) as well as some songs that will be released this coming April. Taking the time to talk with folks and answer questions, he brought to life the personal nature of the library. This will be the first of many new programs aimed at making the library a more welcoming space for our young adult population. To find out about future programming, check out the library website or the library blog in the coming weeks and months.

"Well we just finished another West Coast run," Winter writes on his web site. "San Diego to Chico and all the hippest places in between. It was refreshing to have the youthful energy of Braydon with us. For nowzy, we are splitting, going to take a deep breath and splitting all over the globe to hang out with family for the holidays and of course planing the spring tour in Europe. We have been pre-producing the songs for the next full length which will be recorded in April (baring disasters). Most of the songs are ready but Winter is always good for a few songs so we will see what makes the album. Blessings..."
