Update 9/4: Apple has announced that the Apple Store of Los Gatos will open Thursday, 9/6, at 6 p.m.
The eagerly-awaited Apple Computer retail store at 23 N. Santa Cruz Ave. seems likely to open in September. Glass and some stainless steel have been installed at the sidewalk level, and the stucco facade above it is nearly complete.
A signature Apple logo will shine from behind the stainless steel facade. Construction to the right is for future expansion of the Vittoria restaurant space.
"No pictures!" we were told while the construction fence was briefly down Monday morning.
