April has been filled with fun in the Children’s Room of the Los Gatos Public Library.
On Apr. 1, the Japanese Honors Society from Los Gatos High School hosted an origami program for children of all ages. This proved incredibly popular--over 40 children participated.

On Saturday, Apr. 5, the Friends of the Library and the Los Gatos Community Services Department joined forces to kick off Keep Los Gatos Beautiful Month with a visit from Wild Things. Wild Things is a wild animal rescue and education center. This particular day, children were able to see and learn about alligators, porcupines, barn owls, lemurs, and rattlesnakes.

Apr. 7 marked the beginning of a new playtime program. This is an interactive playtime, following each of our storytimes. Sloan Mukai from The Wooden Horse helped us select age appropriate toys for each of our three storytime groups:
- Toddlers (18-36 months) – Mondays 10:30am
- Preschoolers (3-5 years) – Tuesdays 10:30am
- Babies (0-18 months) – Fridays 10:30am
This program is also funded by the Friends of the Library and is on-going.

Earth Day Program Apr. 22

This event is for all ages and will begin at 3:30 p.m. Stop by the library to find out about more upcoming events or visit our website. The library is located in the civic center plaza at 110 E.
