The 51st annual Los Gatos Children's Christmas & Holidays Parade was held Sat., Dec. 1 before a crowd of some 20,000 people. Thousands more participated in the parade, including schools, marching bands, elected officials, boy and girl scouts, Y Adventure Guides, service clubs, a huge barbecue, sports and other organizations, horses, marching bands, an Italian squash drill team, and a daredevil bicycle rider. The weather was chilly but clear, with one or two raindrops here and there. In other words, as usual, it was perfect.
Officers Todd Fleming and Kimbal Stanley of the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Dept. cleared the way for the parade to begin
The Youth Citizens of the Year, Stanford Stickney, Jamie Lenihan, Jennifer Coe, Alex Nedde, and Andrew Gifford led the parade. Youth Park board member Bob Jones rides in front.
