Los Gatos High School varsity boys soccer coach Rusty Millard and his program players will be running their third annual summer series of soccer camps beginning the week of June 14.
The camps will run Monday through Friday and operate from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The camps will serve as a fundraiser for the Los Gatos High School soccer program in 2010.
There will be camps the weeks of June 14-18, June 21-25, June 28-July 2, and July 5-9 at both Los Gatos and Saratoga High Schools. Players will receive a camp T-shirt, and varsity players from Los Gatos will be on hand to help with instruction. Cost per camp is $160.
Children can expect to learn the four phases of soccer: technical, tactical, mental and physical. There will be four new themes taught each day followed by small-sided games and concluding with a full-sided match.
Coaches will permit the players to make mistakes and help the players learn from them. The players will be instructed correctly both verbally and physically through positive coaching.
