Been nursing a toothache, but cant afford to go to the dentist? You are in luck, because Los Gatos dentist Dr. Richard Evans will be offering his services free of charge on Jan. 22.
Evans and his staff at 14501 S. Bascom Avenue in Los Gatos will be performing complementary X-rays, oral exams and teeth cleanings for up to 50 people next week. Evans says he is donating his dental services from 8am-5pm in an effort to help out the many Bay Area residents who have lost jobs and homes in the recession.
I just hope we can get the word out there, says Evans, who added that his only worry is not getting enough people to fill the day.
This is the first time Evans has offered his dental services at no cost since establishing his practice in Los Gatos over 30 years ago. He is a frequent volunteer with various local church groups and says his past experiences have inspired him to reach out to the community through his own practice.
I hope to put a smile back onto as many faces as I can, in the hope that I can give these patients one less thing to worry about during this stressful time, Evans says.
Patients will be seen by appointment only on a first come, first served basis. To schedule a free appointment with Evans on Jan. 22, call 408.371.4050, or visit http://www.drrichardevans.com.
Also, Los Gatos Blossom Dental Excellence is now offering a low-cost dental plan designed to give people without insurance access to dental care. Call 408.277.4010 or 408.354.0500 for more information.
