Leanne Keltie and Brad Cobb

Both Leanne Keltie and Bradley Cobb grew up on the West Coast in North America, she in Vancouver, Canada, he in Los Gatos, California, but it took a move to London for both of them to literally run into each other. Leanne Keltie and Bradley Cobb met in September 2005 through their running club Serpentine in London, U.K. They will get married on Saturday, September 19, at Los Gatos Methodist Church in Los Gatos, with Reverent David Wolf officiating.

Brad, a Microbiologist, and Leanne, a Town Planner, became friends first, before he finally mustered up the courage to ask her on a date on their way to a race. For the first date he took her to the London Symphony and they soon traveled through Europe together on weekends and vacation. After they returned from an Easter vacation in Istanbul this year, Brad proposed at their London residence at the dinner table. There was no ring on hand for the engagement but the groom delivered one a few weeks later.

This weekend friends from Canada, London, New York and California will celebrate Brad and Leanne’s union at the Methodist Church, where his parents Ray and Charley Ann Cobb have been active members for many decades, followed by a reception at the Hotel Los Gatos. Leanne’s mother Elsie Morningstar, her father Richard Keltie and his wife Kayla Stevenson will fly in from Canada to witness their daughter’s wedding. After a weekend spent with friends and family, Leanne and Brad will go on their honeymoon to Carmel before flying back to London.
