A former Los Gatos gynecologist was found guilty of misdemeanor sexual battery Friday afternoon. Dr. Jose Bolanos inappropriately touched a female patient during an examination in August 2008, according to a news release from the Office of the Santa Clara County District Attorney.
After five hours of deliberation, a San Jose jury returned a guilty verdict on Friday, finding the 54-year-old former doctor at La Femme Health Care Center in Los Gatos guilty. Bolanos had practiced medicine in Santa Clara County for over two decades.
After his arrest by Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police in September 2008, several former patents and medical workers came forward to report past inappropriate incidents with Bolanos.
He now faces a maximum possible sentence of one year in county jail, though the date for his sentencing has not been set.

Inappropriate touched female in Santa Clara’s judicial system has destroyed a prominent doctor’s track record of delivering over 7500 babies in the last two decades and has turned the man’s life into a “raging sea”. I would love to see such “inappropriate” behavior that takes place consistently within Santa Clara prosecutor’s office be investigated ...they would find that if “stupidy was a trumphet…in ruining a man’s life ...Santa Clara attemps at justice…is a brass band”!! Unbelievable the power that is not regulated with in that county’s prosecutors.

Your Statement is not true, I was one of his patient after my formal doctor Hubbard retired.
His practice was horrible!!! I was pregnant with twins and he prescript me with some pills that almost lose my babies, I went back to talk to doctor Hubbard and he personally refer me to a one of best clinic in Campbell specialize in multiples.
My first impression about this man was “something is wrong with him” and my husband told me that person shout no be a doctor he was looking the practice as a business not as “doctors track record of delivering over 7500 babies” as you said.
He never return any of my urgent call during my pregnancy and office visits he show no care about any pregnant patient. I’m pretty sure he did something horrible not to only one woman, to many out there.
Sorry but this how I feel about this person.

You are definitly incorrect..I wont even call him doctor, Mr Bolanos was banned from practicing medicine in 3 out of the four hospitals he had priviledges in the San Jose area for inappropriate medical practices and behavior. yes he was in the paper on the front page , that doesnt make him inocent of all the abusive and inappropriate touching he did to his patients and the nurses he came in contact with over the last 20 years. many incidents were reported and they were ignored because he was “the Doctor”. JB was bound to get caught but at what expense to how many patients. Forget the money,We go to our doctors with trust that they will provide us with safe medical care. And not be attacked. I am happy he will have one person visiting him in jail. He needs help, I hope he gets it in jail.

I was mistaken…Doctor J. Bolanos has delivered 8000 babies!!. He was on the cover of the Mercury News (last Nov.) I guess they did their homework and found him to be noteworthy and brilliant. Santa Clara prosecutors thought not to do such diligence…and just bury a man’s lifetime of work and dedication to “winning” ....not justice…just winning!..Eye witnesses have said the court room was a mockery of injustice…how sad for Santa Clara and their prosecutors..does anyone have any power over them?

For days I follow your comments about ” Dr. Bolanos”, and in my own experience he is a risk for every patient. JB was my wife doctor and she put her in labor when my son was no ready. She was in labor for 3 day after that Mr. Bolanos sent my wife home, I was very concerened about her health and my sons and he just told me don’t worry.. I replied him for a ultrasound to verify that and he never said nothing..One month later my son was born by Csection, he aspired micomium, ” his own feceus”, he born blue and today he had a develop problems Yiannis….you’re wrong….

The sad truth is that he is a good doctor but with no mornals. You would have had to been one of those women that was assalted by him on a table, in an office with no chaperone to know what he is capable of. He delivered my children and he assalted me! You have no idea! When a paper states inappropriate touching, all that means is they can’t tell you what he did! He would not have been found guilty if it wasn’t true and there weren’t tapes to prove it! You should have been at the trial and heard the truth!
