The Road to Williamsport Little League Baseball’s annual quest to reach the World Series begins all over the world this week.
Los Gatos Little League will field eight teams in the District 12 tournaments, two each in the 12U, 11U, 10U and 9U tournaments. Games will begin for some divisions as early as today.
District 12 action will begin this afternoon at Union Little League field with the 9U tournament. Both Los Gatos teams are in the same bracket and will face each other on Friday, June 26, in a pool play game.
All teams in each pool play one another one time, with the top two teams in each pool advancing to semifinal and championship games.
Major All-Star Tournament
Majors Division play (11- and 12-year-olds) will begin Saturday, June 27 at Quito Little League Field. The winner of that tournament will advance to the Sectional tournament on the Road to Williamsport.
Los Gatos Little League divides itself into two leagues and is represented in each age division by a tournament team from each league.
Los Gatos National will open against host Quito Saturday at 10 a.m., while the American League All-Stars will play Branham Hills at the same time on another field. All games in the Majors division are played at Rolling Hills Middle School on Pollard Road in Los Gatos.
On Wednesday, July 1, Los Gatos National will play Union while Los Gatos American will play Cambrian Park. All weeknight games begin at 5:30 p.m. On Friday, July 3, Los Gatos National will play Almaden South while the American All-Stars play Saratoga. On Tuesday, July 7, the Nationals will play Almaden North while the Americans play Willow Glen. And pool play will wrap up on Saturday, July 11 when the National Stars play San Jose American and the Los Gatos American League Stars play Lincoln Glen at 12:30 p.m..
The semifinals are scheduled for Monday, July 13, with the championship game on Tuesday, July 14.
The Los Gatos National team is made up of Nick Bawden, Brett Foley, Dru Brown, CJ Hibbitts, John Scott Cruse, Griffin Jordan, Grady Duggan, Jacob Marr, Mike Ferrari, Clay Sauter, Aiden Finch and JoJo Ventura. Manager is Ric Foley.
Members of the American League 12-year-old tournament team are Ben Bergkamp, Matt Ross, Johnny Breidenthal, Jack Salcido, Aviv Brender, Jack Sexton, Matt Brodnik, Scott Shelton, Ty Clark, TJ Webb, Elliott Herman and Matt Wilcox. Manager is Dan Brodnik.
11-Year-Old All-Stars
Los Gatos will be co-hosting the 11-year-old tournament, with both Los Gatos teams playing all their pool-play games at Baggerly Field. Action begins Thursday when Los Gatos American squares off against Almaden South. On Friday, Los Gatos National plays Union, and on Saturday Los Gatos American squares off with Union at 10 a.m. and the Nationals play Quito at 3 p.m.
Action will continue for the Los Gatos teams on Wednesday, July 1 when the two teams face each other. Los Gatos National will then face Almaden South on Monday, July 6, and the Americans will face Lincoln Glen the following evening. Pool play will wrap up with Los Gatos National playing Lincoln Glen on Thursday, July 9 and Los Gatos American playing Quito the following evening. The semifinals are set for Saturday, July 11, with the championship game on Monday, July 13.

Members of the American League team are Shane Clancy Grant Rosenbaum, Kevin Closson, Hans Strausl, Jason Comstock, Jeremy Tabke, Spencer Herder, Dana Tovey, Scott Martin, Corey Walewski, Will Mingrone and Jack Wedell. Manager is Bill Martin.
10-Year-Old All-Stars
Saratoga Little League will host the 10-year-old tournament, with action beginning for both Los Gatos teams on Wednesday, June 24. The National team will play host Saratoga, while the American squad will play Willow Glen. Both teams will again be in action Saturday when the American Stars take on Almaden South at 10 a.m. and the National team plays Lincoln Glen at 12:30 p.m.
Los Gatos American will play Almaden North on Monday, June 29, while the National squad plays Quito the following evening. On Friday, July 3, Los Gatos American will play Cambrian Park, and on Monday, July 6, Los Gatos National will play Union. Pool play will wrap up for Los Gatos National on Wednesday, July 8 against San Jose American, and for Los Gatos American team the following evening against Branham Hills.
The semifinals are set for Friday, July 10, with the championship game the following morning at 10 a.m.
The Los Gatos National team is made up of Gabe Baranovsky, Lyle Hibbitts, Cole Bunce, Zach Hori, Sawyer Chadwick, Kyle Keast, Kevin Fagan, Wolfie Rehbock, Travis Friar, Austin Rothschild, Dexter Gartin and Jake Seandel. Manager is Steve Seandel.
Members of the American League team are Miles Beach, Troy Martig, Hunter Bigge, Ian McCollam, Jake Clyne, Douglas Neubauer, Christopher Harbert, Evan Seger, Nate Loro, Ryan Wilcox, Tyler Marshall and Keenan Zech. Manager is Sterling Loro.
9-Year-Old All-Stars
Action begins this evening for the Los Gatos National 9-year-old team when it plays Cambrian Park at Union Little League Field. The American team is in action tomorrow evening against Willow Glen. The two Los Gatos teams then face one another Friday evening. Los Gatos American then faces Cambrian Park on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Los Gatos American plays again on Tuesday, June 30 against Lincoln Glen, while the National team plays the following evening against Willow Glen. Los Gatos National wraps up play on Tuesday, July 7 against Lincoln Glen.
Semifinals are on Thursday, July 9, with the championship game set for the following evening.
