The Los Gatos varsity baseball team will play for fifth place Friday in the Valley Christian Crown Classic tournament.
The Wildcats, currently 2-1 in the tournament, will know their opponent following Thursday’s games.
Los Gatos defeated host Valley Christian 5-2 on Saturday, but was beaten 11-1 by Oakdale in tournament action Tuesday. Following the loss, the Wildcats rebounded to beat Union City-based James Logan 10-9 on Wednesday.
Los Gatos, Valley Christian and Oakdale all stood with 2-1 records entering play Thursday, but the Wildcats allowed more runs over the tournament’s first three games, consigning them to the fifth place game.
