by Randy Frey Sports & SchoolsFreshman Jack Penner was one of ten University of Santa Clara men's water polo players honored by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches on the ACWPC All-Academic teams for their achievements during the 2009 season. Penner was one of two freshmen to see regular time in the pool last year and finished with nine goals and 17 assists in 34 games played.

Los Gatos Boulevard Walnut Grove to be Developed
Jul 09, 2010, by Eric Johnson NewsBritish developers Grosvenor Americas have purchased a 32-acre walnut grove on Los Gatos Boulevard from the Yuki family, and are now negotiating with local authorities for the rights to develop the property for residential units and office space. The acquisition has been described as “a very rare opportunity to find this big a piece of property in the heart of Silicon Valley. “Though no announcement has been made about the cost of the deal, if the land sold for $50 per square foot, it would be worth about $70 million.

Three members of the 2009 CCS champion Los Gatos High School football team will get a chance to put on their Wildcats helmet one more time July 21 in the 36th annual Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game at Spartan Stadium.
Representing Los Gatos on the North team will be All-CCS wide receiver Andrew Berg, linebacker Alec Gletzer and offensive lineman Wes Bolliger.
